Er is geen ander handelspreparaat beschikbaar in Nederland met hetzelfde werkzame bestanddeel.

(Farmaco)therapeutische alternatieven

Bij toepassing van fluoride bij osteoporose heeft natriummonofluorfosfaat de voorkeur omdat het risico op toxiciteit geringer is dan bij natriumfluoride [2].

NB: Bij gebruik van Monoflor dient tevens 1-2 gram calciumzout toegediend te worden (verdeeld over 2 giften per dag) [2].
